We had a similar experience just last week, but the defect was worse--the elastic was missing from one half of the diaper "pocket". Protected on one side, not so much on the other. But I just had to laugh at this post. I am currently working through a box of Luvs that have the same defect -- one tab stuck to the inside of the diaper.
